Delhi CM Orders Maujpur Playschool To Be Sealed After 3 Year Old Allegedly Assaulted!
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has taken serious note of the alleged assault of a three year old boy at a playschool in Maujpur and directed authorities to seal the premises
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has ordered strict action following the disturbing alleged assault of a three year old boy at a playschool in Maujpur. The chief minister has directed authorities to seal the premises as the investigation into the incident continues. The case came to light after the child’s parents noticed changes in his behaviour and signs of physical distress. Police later examined CCTV footage from the playschool, which allegedly showed the child being subjected to physical abuse over several days. According to police, the toddler was allegedly tied to a chair for hours and subjected to other forms of physical abuse.
A playschool attendant has been arrested, while a teacher, principal and director have been booked and their roles are being investigated. The child’s parents reportedly became suspicious after he returned home unwell and complained of pain. Medical examination raised further concerns, following which the family sought access to CCTV footage from the school. The Delhi government has now stepped in, with Chief Minister Rekha Gupta directing officials to take firm action against those responsible. The order to seal the premises is aimed at ensuring that the facility does not continue operating while the investigation is underway.
The incident has sparked renewed concerns over safety standards and supervision at playschools and daycare centres, where very young children spend several hours away from their parents. Authorities are continuing to examine the CCTV footage, statements and other evidence. The investigation will determine the individual responsibility of those named in the case and whether further action is warranted. The Delhi government has reiterated that the safety of children cannot be compromised and that anyone found responsible for the alleged abuse will face strict action under the law.
