Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas has issued a public warning after discovering that someone is allegedly using his name and identity to contact people through a fraudulent email account. Taking to Instagram Stories on August 31, the actor shared an “Impersonation Alert” and informed followers that emails were being sent to multiple people while falsely claiming to represent him. He clarified that the email address Etovinothomas79@gmail.com is not associated with him and that he has not authorised anyone to communicate on his behalf through it.

Tovino urged people who receive messages from the account to exercise extreme caution. He specifically asked them not to reply, provide personal information, click on links, make payments or follow any instructions contained in such emails. The actor also advised recipients to report the messages as spam or phishing and delete them immediately. He requested fans to circulate the warning so that others who may have received similar emails do not become victims of the alleged impersonation scam.

The incident highlights the growing problem of scammers exploiting the identities of celebrities to make fraudulent requests or gain access to sensitive information. Fans can be particularly vulnerable when communications appear to come directly from a well-known actor. Tovino has therefore urged everyone to verify the authenticity of any communication claiming to represent him before taking action. His warning comes as online impersonation scams continue to target public figures and their followers. On the professional front, Tovino is set to reunite with filmmaker Johnpaul George, with whom he previously worked on Guppy. The upcoming project is reportedly expected to be one of the biggest productions in both their careers.
