According to the US National Hurricane Center, Karina was located roughly 1,020 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula. The hurricane is expected to maintain a generally westward track before potentially turning more toward the west-northwest. For now, Karina remains a powerful but distant Pacific hurricane.
