boAt FY26 Profit Jumps 38% to ₹84.5 Crore, Signals Strong Financial Recovery
Consumer technology brand boAt reported a 38% year-on year rise in profit after tax to ₹84.5 crore in FY26, while profit before tax climbed 53% to ₹114.3 crore.
Consumer technology brand boAt has reported a strong improvement in its financial performance for the financial year 2025-26, with profit after tax (PAT) rising 38% year-on year to ₹84.5 crore, compared with ₹61.1 crore in FY25. Profit before tax also increased 53% to ₹114.3 crore from ₹74.7 crore. The company said the performance came despite a challenging external business environment. Revenue from operations stood at approximately ₹2,931 crore during FY26, while the company focused on improving inventory management, sourcing, product quality and overall cost efficiency. One of the major developments during the year was the turnaround of boAt's wearables business. The segment moved from a loss of around ₹54 crore in FY25 to a profit of approximately ₹7 crore in FY26, marking a significant improvement in the category's economics.
The company's other emerging businesses also showed stronger profitability. The segment, which includes categories such as charging solutions, cables and gaming, saw its profit rise from around ₹14 crore to ₹46 crore during the year. boAt also strengthened its balance sheet considerably. The company ended FY26 with approximately ₹397 crore in cash reserves and zero bank debt after repaying around ₹60 crore in short term borrowings. Finance costs fell sharply from ₹27.9 crore to ₹7.9 crore, reflecting the reduction in external borrowing. Capital efficiency improved as well, with return on capital employed (ROCE) rising from 11.5% in FY25 to 15.2% in FY26. Inventory declined by around 10%, from ₹326 crore to ₹294 crore, while trade receivables remained broadly stable at approximately ₹255 crore. The company is now looking beyond its traditional audio and wearables businesses.
Under its planned “boAt 2.0” strategy, the brand intends to expand into international markets and newer consumer technology categories, including projectors, personal grooming products and other lifestyle technology products. International revenue more than doubled during FY26, rising from approximately ₹20 crore to ₹45 crore, indicating early progress in the company's efforts to expand beyond the Indian market. The latest results suggest that boAt has moved its focus from restoring profitability to building new growth opportunities. With stronger cash reserves, lower financial costs and improving performance across newer categories, the company is positioning itself for its next phase of expansion.
