Delhi Police have arrested six people, including the alleged mastermind, a website developer and three tele-callers, for allegedly operating a fake airline recruitment racket. According to police, the group targeted job seekers through advertisements posted on social media and offered them lucrative employment opportunities in the aviation sector. The accused allegedly used fake websites and recruitment processes to make the operation appear legitimate and convince victims that they could secure jobs at Indira Gandhi International Airport.

Police said the accused allegedly demanded between ₹7,000 and ₹10,000 from job seekers as admission or registration fees for a purported aviation diploma. The victims were reportedly promised jobs after completing the course and paying the required charges. Investigators suspect that the website developer played a key role in creating online platforms and material used to make the fraudulent recruitment operation appear genuine, while tele-callers allegedly contacted potential victims and guided them through the fake hiring process.

The racket came to light after a complainant reportedly approached police following a social media advertisement for a job with a company presented as “Bretish Airways”. The victim submitted personal details through the advertisement and was later contacted by a woman allegedly posing as an HR executive named ‘Karishma’. Police subsequently investigated the recruitment operation and arrested six suspects. Authorities are now examining the digital evidence, financial transactions and other possible victims to determine the full extent of the alleged fraud.
