Fadnavis said drug addiction should not be treated merely as a social issue, warning that it could have wider consequences for families, communities and the country. He stressed that young people need the right guidance and support to stay away from substance abuse.

The chief minister called for coordinated efforts involving students, parents, educational institutions, government authorities and society. He said preventing addiction requires awareness at the grassroots level and active participation from all sections of society.

Fadnavis described the fight against drugs as a responsibility of both the state and the nation. Through the ‘Campus Connect’ campaign, the government aims to strengthen communication with students and promote a healthier environment where young people can focus on education, careers and contributing to India’s development.
